Circa zwei- bis dreimal pro Monat schicken mir wechselnde Fotografen einen Link zu ihrem 365-Projekt, bei dem sie ein Jahr lang täglich ein Foto schießen. Auch wenn die Bilder teilweise sehr ansprechend sind, bin ich vorsichtig, da zum einen es nur die wenigsten schaffen bis zum Ende des Jahres durchzuhalten und zum anderen die Qualität im Laufe des Jahres stetig abnimmt. Bei Stephen Beadles scheint beides nicht der Fall zu sein, auch wenn wir noch knapp fünf Monate vor uns haben. Ich bin einfach mal optimistisch, denn die bisherigen Aufnahmen des 19jährigen sind wirklich ausnahmslos gelungen.

Greg Eason
Der Künstler Greg Eason besuchte von 2006 bis 2009 das Norwich University College of Art. Seine Arbeiten wurden 2009 für die AAF Recent Graduates Exhibition in London ausgewählt. Es folgten Gruppenausstellungen und Kunstmessen in London und auch international in unter anderem New York, Brüssel, Glasgow, Amsterdam und Singapur. Heute lebt und arbeitet Eason in London.

Yojiro Imasaka
In my first college photography class we were frequently given 1-2 hours of shooting time to leave the photo building and venture out into downtown Chicago to knock out a roll or two of film. I found it enjoyable to be taking pictures during class but always felt slightly defeated knowing that thousands of students before and after me would be venturing out into a small radius around school shooting pictures of the exact same buildings, streets, and parks. What type of skill and eye would it take, to pass by the same thing seen by hundreds of passersby each day and recognize instantly the beauty and uniqueness of an image? It seemed almost impossible. It’s clear in Yojiro Imasaka‘s vertical shots of New York alleys that he posses just such talent. Something incredibly beautiful out of the completely mundane. (via pytr 75)
